TM Event Hire were delighted to work with Aspenden Village Fund, supplying a marquee for their ball and even having the honour of attending ourselves.

This fun and exciting event was put on to raise money for the fight against Parkinson’s, a cause close to our hearts after our grandad and great uncle both suffered from the disease.

The Aspenden Village Fund was created to organise events in the local area, including balls, fetes and other fundraisers. Money raised is also used for selection of external charities that have a connection to the Aspenden residents and other projects in the local area.

The ball itself was a stunning black tie affair, with villagers of all ages and backgrounds being invited to come together, celebrate and raise money for a great cause. TM Event Hire were asked to supply not just the marquee, but also the flooring, dancefloor, lighting, linings, stage and bar.

We wanted to create a lively and exuberant atmosphere for all the attendees. With around 200 guests, we knew this was going to be a big event, so ensured that the marquee we provided not only had the space needed for everyone to sit and enjoy their meal, but also plenty of room for a large dance floor so that they could let their hair down later in the evening.

We chose a classic white lining for the ceiling, alongside a starlit black backdrop above the dancefloor to delineate the different areas and create a stunning entryway for when guests first walked in.

The lighting was carefully chosen to provide a colourful and effective interior, with purple uplights used around the venue to brighten different areas. We also used fairy lights across the ceiling, and festoon lighting outside to make sure guests could make their way in and out safely.

It was an absolute honour for us to not only be able to provide the marquee and accessories for this event, but also to attend as a guest and help raise money for those suffering with Parkinson’s.

It was wonderful to see everyone come together, and it felt as if the whole village was there.
