Who We Are

TM Event Hire was founded back in 2013 by our director Thomas Mclean. Thomas always had a passion for events and saw an opportunity to start a business that helped people with equipment hire for their events.

Originally specialising in catering equipment, tableware and glassware hire, Thomas quickly built up a reputation as a trusted supplier in the events/wedding industry. After a year of business, he was joined by brother Michael in 2014, who became joint owner and chief of operations.

Since then, TM Event Hire has grown to be one of the leading suppliers of event equipment in the Essex, London and Hertfordshire areas.

Thomas Mclean

Co owner of TM Event Hire, created the company in 2013. Tom has worked in various jobs, but always had a passion for hospitality and events. He started the company with the idea we wanted to be a one stop shop for customers to hire everything they would need for their event. Thomas leads the sales and dealing with customers to make sure your event runs smoothly.

Michael Mclean

Younger brother of Thomas joined the company in 2014, and within a short space of time became joint owner. Michael’s passion for organisation and hard work propelled the company into the next level. Michael’s role in the company is to make sure your event runs smoothly and everything is organised and delivered on time.

Absolute 5 🌟 review for TM advent hire. From start to finish the team were amazing. Nothing was too much. Tom answered my messages/calls every time. I was Bridezilla in the lead up to my wedding and had a few last minute changes but the team cracked on and did an amazing job. It was the hottest September on record but this did not stop them all working so hard. Excellent communication, beautiful marquee and super hard working family team. We can’t thank you guys enough and would highly recommend your services. Thank you so much.

Tom and his team are the best in the business. They made the process of getting a marquee and other equipment for our wedding so stress free and they were extremely reasonable when it comes to pricing. They were organised, went above and beyond to help us. The marquee and furniture were exquisite and just looked so beautiful. No yellowing marquees with patches or stains like I've seen from other local companies. Their set up was classy and beautiful. They were there when they said they would be. They made everything easy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use them again myself.

Tom was extremely helpful and reassuring when I hired crockery and cutlery from him for a family gathering. Items were spotless and in perfect condition; communication was good; delivery and pick-up were seamless; and Tom liaised effectively with the venue (reducing my stress and anxiety a lot). Absolutely amazing service, set up a massive marquee in the pouring down rain for 3 days and did not stop until everything was perfect for our big day. Incredible company - highly recommended!!!

Thanks to tm catering hire I used these for my wedding I ordered online every thing was there and all good quality the table cloths were lovely and clean and so white if anyone is having a event and need to hire catering equipment I would highly recommend tm catering really great company thanks

TM Catering Hire provided their marquee for our outdoor garden wedding and it was brilliant. The marquee looked absolutely stunning and all of our guests couldn't quite believe how perfect it all looked! Tom and his team worked incredibly hard (in pouring down rain in the middle of June!!) to put up the marquee and ensure everything was perfect. The guys were all super friendly and helpful and I couldn't recommend this company enough for marquee hire, cutlery hire, etc! Thank you so much!
